Hoʻōla Nā Pua presents: Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children
Sex trafficking is one of the most traumatizing experiences a child and adult can experience and unfortunately, the incidents in our islands are disturbingly high. However, with the right information, we can all move in the direction of prevention, and protection. and support those affected. Please join us to learn more from Eric Madden of Hoʻōla Nā Pua, an organization dedicated to raising awareness of sex trafficking and providing care to those who have been exploited. Eric has been serving the community in many different capacities for the last eight years and has had the privilege of presenting topics such as mental and physical health, exploitation, and disability awareness. This overview will answer the following questions: What is sex trafficking? What does it look like? What are some risk factors and protective factors? How do we identify and respond?
Please note: Due to the desire to provide support during the presentation, Hoʻōla Nā Pua does not allow the sessions to be recorded, so please try to attend if you can.
