Healing-Centered Arts to Support Well-Being
Sierra Dew will be sharing a simple art activity to support mental health in teachers, community workers, counselors, and students.
Join Sierra Dew, Founder and Director of Wisdom Circles Oceania, who will demonstrate ways to create safe space, including tips for lowering the pressure for utilizing art as a supportive tool, how to navigate anxiety that often comes up for those who don’t feel they are creative, and the ways art can support connection and understanding between people. She will also be sharing some experiences of engaging youth and community in healing-centered arts programming from the past 12 years, including her findings on trauma-informed care.
This is a free community event open to all!
